June Wednesday 4th - The Hiddenfolk, introduction to the world of the Fae
June Wednesday 4th - The Hiddenfolk, introduction to the world of the Fae
The Talk (Falcon Pub, 7:30pm-9:00pm)
The hidden folk, the fae, faeries. These creatures are the stuff of myth, folk tale and stories. But delve a little deeper and discover the Fae for what they really are. Often associated with the witch, the Fae are creatures of another world, for whom the laws of nature don't apply. In this talk we will discuss the nature of the Fae, have a look at some of the more common kinds of hidden folk that can be found among us and discuss how to work with and protect ourselves from the hidden folk.
The Practitioner / Talker
My name is Olivia Wardman. I'm what I like to call a scholarly witch, because research is a huge part of my practice, and I have been practising for 13 years. I have a BA and an MA in philosophy, and wrote most of my essays in these subjects in defence of the craft. My specialisms are the tarot and alchemy, though I'll research and investigate almost anything. On a personal note, I have a wonderfully supportive partner named George and I have a very fat fluffy black cat called Jess.
The Venue:
Please note that the venue is a gorgeous, quirky space up some steep and narrow stairs, so this event is unfortunately not suitable for those with mobility issues.
Location: The Falcon Pub Huntingdon
Age Limitations:
This is a strictly age 18+ event, due to the location and nature of the evening
