Wednesday 19th February - Witchcraft 101: The Basics

Wednesday 19th February - Witchcraft 101: The Basics

The Workshop (7:30-9:30 pm)

If you've ever wanted to get into witchcraft but haven't known where to start, this talk will give you a coherent, practical introduction. We will answer questions like why do I need an altar? How can I set one up? What is warding? And how in earth do I direct my intention?

This talk is belief and discipline inclusive, so it's not about what you believe, it's about how you can put it into practice. We'll cover the pre- and post-spell phases, and we'll cover a few very basic methods of spell casting. In addition, there is a practical making charm bags.

Please note, if you cannot openly practice in your living situation, this talk will also provide advice on covert practice and subtle altars.

The Practitioner / Talker

My name is Olivia Wardman. I'm what I like to call a scholarly witch, because research is a huge part of my practice, and I have been practising for 13 years. I have a BA and an MA in philosophy, and wrote most of my essays in these subjects in defence of the craft. My specialisms are the tarot and alchemy, though I'll research and investigate almost anything. On a personal note, I have a wonderfully supportive partner named George and I have a very fat fluffy black cat called Jess.

The Venue:

Please note that the venue is a gorgeous, quirky space up some steep and narrow stairs, so this event is unfortunately not suitable for those with mobility issues.

Location: The Falcon Pub Huntingdon

Age Limitations:

This is a strictly age 18+ event, due to the location and nature of the evening
